Hourly financial planning for pastors
Sometimes you do not need a relationship. You need one good answer from someone who understands clergy compensation.
How it works
Our hourly rate is $400. Clients in an ongoing relationship with us pay $300.
We scope the question first, in writing, with an estimate of the hours it will take. You approve the estimate before we start. You are billed for the work after it is done, never in advance.
When hourly is the right choice
- A single decision with a deadline, like an offer from another church or a plan distribution question
- A second opinion on advice you have already received
- A specific piece of analysis where you know exactly what you want looked at
- You already work with an advisor and need clergy-specific input they cannot provide
Most pastors are better served by the Checkup. If your question is really "am I going to be okay," that is not an hourly question. It is a review, and the Pastor Retirement Checkup at $599 or $799 covers considerably more ground than two hours would, for a comparable amount of money. We will tell you which one you need.
We are fee-only in hourly engagements the same as in any other. No products, no commissions, and no compensation from anyone but you. Fee-only does not mean conflict-free, and our conflicts are disclosed in our Form ADV.
